1. Overview and privacy approach

We respect the private nature of health and wellness information. The App is designed so that the developer does not operate a server that receives or stores the pulse, blood-pressure, glucose, hydration, nutrition, or similar wellness records that you enter or generate in the App. The developer does not sell your personal information, does not rent it to advertisers, and does not use your health information for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

This Policy applies to information handled by the developer through the App and this website. Apple and other platform providers may independently process information when you use the App Store, make an in-app purchase, manage a subscription, request a refund, or use operating-system services. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy terms.

2. Information and data we handle

The App may allow you to create or view wellness information such as pulse measurements, blood-pressure entries, glucose entries, hydration information, and related notes. These records are intended to remain on your device unless a platform-level feature that you independently enable stores or synchronizes them outside the App.

The developer does not intentionally collect your name, postal address, precise location, contacts, photos, private messages, or other unrelated personal content through the App. We also do not require you to provide health information to us by email. If you voluntarily contact support, the content of your message and your email address will be received only so we can respond to you and resolve the matter you raised.

3. Health and wellness information

Health-related entries in the App are provided for general wellness, organization, and personal reference. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, determine eligibility for insurance, employment, credit, housing, or other high-impact decisions, and we do not sell health information to data brokers.

You should avoid sending sensitive medical documents or detailed medical histories to support unless they are strictly necessary to explain a technical issue. Support is not a medical service and cannot provide diagnosis or individualized medical treatment advice.

4. Camera access and pulse measurement

If you use a pulse-checking feature that relies on the device camera, the App may request camera permission so the relevant sensor information can be processed for that feature. The developer does not receive camera images or video from this process and does not use camera access for advertising, facial recognition, identity verification, or unrelated tracking.

You may deny or later revoke camera permission through your device settings. If camera access is disabled, features that depend on the camera may not function, while other parts of the App can remain available where technically possible.

5. In-app purchases, subscriptions, and Apple

Paid features and subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and account information needed to complete those transactions. The developer does not receive your full payment-card number or Apple ID password.

The App may receive limited purchase-status or receipt-related information needed to determine whether a subscription or paid entitlement is active. Such information is used only to provide purchased functionality, restore purchases, manage entitlement status, address billing-related support questions, prevent obvious abuse, and comply with App Store processes.

In the limited context of a refund request, Apple may permit or request developers to provide information about in-app purchase consumption so Apple can evaluate the request. Where this occurs, the developer may provide only the limited categories described in the Terms of Use, such as app usage time, an anonymous account identifier, total amount spent, and total amount refunded. This is not used for advertising or data brokerage.

6. Sharing, sale, and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your health and wellness logs with advertisers, marketing networks, employers, insurers, or data brokers. We do not disclose such information for behavioral advertising.

Information may be disclosed only in narrow circumstances: when you specifically ask us to do so; when necessary to respond to a lawful and valid legal request; when necessary to protect the security, rights, or integrity of the App or users; or when limited information is provided to Apple in connection with App Store purchase administration or a refund request as described above.

If the business responsible for the App is reorganized or transferred, we would seek to preserve the privacy commitments described in this Policy and would not use such a transaction as a reason to begin selling health information.

7. Data storage and retention

Because the developer does not maintain a developer-controlled database of your health logs, retention of those records generally depends on your device, the App’s local storage, your deletion choices, and any device-level backup or synchronization settings you independently enable. Removing the App may remove locally stored data, subject to operating-system backup behavior.

Support correspondence may be retained for a reasonable period to resolve your request, document the response, prevent duplicate handling, and protect against abuse. We aim not to retain support messages longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to legal obligations and ordinary email-backup cycles.

8. Security

No software or device can guarantee absolute security. We use reasonable technical and organizational practices appropriate to the nature of the App and the limited information we handle. You are also responsible for protecting access to your device, using device passcodes or biometric locks when appropriate, installing operating-system updates, and avoiding disclosure of sensitive information to unauthorized persons.

If you believe the App or your communications with support have been affected by a security issue, contact us promptly at support@heartrate-bp.com with enough information for us to investigate without including unnecessary sensitive health details.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can choose whether to enter wellness data, whether to use camera-dependent pulse features, and whether to contact support. Permissions can generally be changed through iOS settings. Locally stored records may be editable or removable through the App where those functions are available.

Depending on your location, privacy law may provide rights such as access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or portability for personal information controlled by a business. Because we do not maintain a developer-controlled repository of your health logs, we may have no remote copy of that information to provide or delete. For information actually held by us, such as a support email, you may contact support@heartrate-bp.com and we will evaluate a verified request under applicable law.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right granted by applicable law.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not designed as a service directed specifically to children under the age at which parental consent is required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly solicit personal health information from young children through developer-controlled systems.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has sent personal information directly to our support address, they may contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.

11. International users

The App may be available in multiple countries. Privacy rights and legal requirements differ by region. We apply the privacy commitments in this Policy broadly, including the commitments not to sell health information and not to use health logs for targeted advertising. Where applicable local law gives you additional rights, those rights are not limited by this Policy.

12. Medical privacy and important limitations

The App is a general wellness and personal logging tool, not a healthcare provider, hospital, laboratory, pharmacy, insurer, or medical records system. Unless a specific legal relationship says otherwise, information in the App should not be assumed to be protected by healthcare-sector laws that apply only to regulated medical providers and their business associates.

Do not rely on the App for emergencies. If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service immediately.

13. Apple, websites, and external services

The App is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple may collect and process device, purchase, subscription, diagnostics, or account information under Apple’s own policies. We do not control Apple’s systems. Likewise, if this website links to an external page, the external operator is responsible for its own privacy practices.

The website may receive ordinary technical requests needed to deliver a webpage through your hosting provider, such as an IP address, browser information, and request timestamp. The developer does not use this website to collect health logs or to create advertising profiles. Hosting providers may maintain standard security or access logs according to their own operational practices.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, App Store requirements, security practices, or improvements in how privacy information is explained. When we make a material update, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Your continued use of the App after an update is subject to the then-current Policy, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Contact us

If you have a privacy question, a request concerning information actually held by the developer, or a concern about this Policy, contact us at support@heartrate-bp.com.

Please describe the issue clearly and avoid sending unnecessary medical documents or highly sensitive information. We may need to ask for limited additional details to identify a support conversation or verify a request.
